Happy Friday y’all! So, talked about this topic earlier this week and just want to reiterate it one more time on here since I haven’t yet. So, here we go....Many people say, I hate Facebook, dislike Instagram, deleting social media because I keep comparing myself & my life to theirs. Everyone only posts their best self, fake lives and only show people what they want others to see.

I’m going to have to say, I disagree. I follow people that show the good, the bad and the ugly. Spill their dirty laundry on social media and people still judge them. That’s the thing about humans, we are humans. Sometimes we only see what we want to see, hear what we want to hear, judge who we want to judge and post what we want to post. If you look deep enough people post a lot of different things on social media. It depends on the day and depends on the person. We can analyze what they post and judge them for it or be a decent human being and send positive vibes.

Social comparison is nothing new – the theory has been around since the 1950s and people have long compared themselves to photos in magazines, television, friends at parties, and strangers on the street. The internet just provides us another opportunity.

So my point is, be mindful on Social Media and focus on making connections and catching up with old friends and not gawking at people’s posts. If anything, use what you see as motivation. Your Facebook Friends’ beautiful travel vacation in Maldives/Paris/Cabo/ Santorini Greece/ Hawaii, someone’s engagement, someone’s expensive wedding, people’s fancy dinners, fancy cars, fancy parties, someone’s amazing fitness body, beautiful people, rich people, new house, cute baby pictures, perfect career, pictures of their cute pets, these are all inspirations and motivations that should provide us the courage to set a goal/ journey for ourselves.

Anyways, with that being said, try not to get lost in comparing yourself to others. Discover your gifts and let them shine. Be You. Be Unique. One thing to keep in mind today, a flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it, it just blooms.

Y’all have a fabulous evening and an awesome weekend ahead!
